 ASTM F467 is a specification which covers the terms for the production of commercial wrought nonferrous nuts.  The nonferrous metal is a material that contains no iron in their chemistry. The various shapes of ASTM F467 Nuts included in this specification are hex nuts, square nuts, coupling nuts, lock nuts etc. They are available in nominal thread diameters size ranging between M6 to M36. Since the ASTM F467 Heavy Hexagon Nuts are non-ferrous based alloys, various types of materials are used in their products ranging from nickel, brass, aluminium, copper, lead, tin, titanium, zinc, and precious metals like silver and gold may also be included.

As the properties of different ASTM F467 Square Nuts vary, they could be modified to suit requirements pertaining to general service applications. Materials which are used in the manufacture of thee nonferrous specified ASTM F467 Coupling Nuts have to be tested.
